Lil Shih Tzu Cherubs
I .started with a long time desire to breed. I have always had dogs growing up and when I was raising my 3 sons. I had a Samoyed Husky so beautiful that I wanted more just like her. The timing wasn’t right in my life to breed, nor did I really know the work and expense involved. I chose to have her spayed. I had always had large breed dogs as I thought little ones were yappy and just not what I would be attracted to.
The year 2000 brought many changes to my life with 2 people that I loved very much passing away.finding a new place to live and my back not co-operating as when 20.
One day a very good friend of mine decided she wanted a puppy and asked me to ride along while she went to a kennel/breeder to choose a pup. She had planned on a Maltese.
We arrived at the breeder’s location to find that she bred several breeds but no Maltese at the time. She did however have a litter of Shih/Maltese mix..I Was In Love!
The puppy I thought my friend would take was getting left behind and I couldn’t leave her. I purchased her with no intentions of getting a new puppy or realizing what I was in for. Her name is Bailey, she stole my heart! The very first week I had her, she had an accident and had to have her eye out. This was the Beginning with no End.
I decided I wanted another for her to have a friend but wanted a purebred Shihtzu.
Learning, searching and loving her more and more each day I knew the timing was right to fulfill my long desire to breed. I met several breeders that were Wonderful and some that just were not. I knew I wanted good quality pups from good quality breeders, but at that time my funds were not what I required to purchase the pups. A short time later I was fortunate due to my Mom’s estate and again an older sister’s estate to be able to purchase the pups I desired to begin my breeding.
Hence my decision to name my site “Lil Shih Tzu Cherubs” as each pup I currently own is named after someone special that has left my life as well as new people that have entered into my life directly related to those that have left.
I am new to the breeding world and also small as all of my cherubs live in my home with me. I plan to leave every door open to learn as much as I can as I go to do the best that I can to produce wonderful, loving.”as close to perfect” as can be Shihtzu cherubs for others to love as I do.
My name is Candace Zeppetello and I thank all of the breeders that I have purchased from for allowing me to love one of theirs, giving me the opportunity to do what I truly love.
